Developers can benefit with PerfectBuild Unified Dependency Management System (Unified - DMS) in two ways. First, by automatically discovering dependencies in source files, PerfectBuild Unified -DMS alleviates developer responsibility for identifying dependencies. Additionally, repository based dependencies allow developers to see all associated dependencies for a project on demand enabling them to assess the potential impact of a change before it occurs. Major improvements in PerfectBuild's Unified - DMS include automation of a developer's build process in Visual Studio 6, 7, and 8 along with support for Java Ant and C/C++ Make based projects.
