CODEFAST RECEIVES AWARD FOR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY FROM COMPUTERWORLD
Chosen by a panel of CIOs, Horizon Award honors vendors that provide breakthrough technology with measurable payback
San Jose, CA – September 12, 2005 – Codefast™ Inc., the leader in automated software production, today announced it has received an honorable mention for this year’s Computerworld’s Horizon Award.
About the Horizon Award
Formally known as the Innovative Technology Award, the Horizon Award is sponsored by Computerworld Magazine, “The Voice of IT Management”. The award alerts Computerworld readers to especially cutting-edge technologies from research labs and startups that are "on the horizon.” Nominees must have a technology that meets one of 10 IT needs and are further evaluated using additional criteria:
- The company's technology is innovative and original.
- It offers demonstrable value to corporate IT operations in Fortune 1,000 companies.
- It creates an advantage or opportunity for customers.
- Customers have successfully implemented the technology and are getting measurable payback or competitive advantage from it.
- The technology will change the way companies do business or solve technology problems into the future.
Nominations were collected from PR agencies, public and private companies and industry experts. An outside panel of CIO judges reviewed the nominations, and final selections were made. Last year’s event drew more than 270 nominees of which 30 vendors received awards. This year’s event has 8 winners with 20 honorable mentions.
“Being relatively new on the scene, we are very pleased to see that we are already having an impact in the IT community.” said Nick Berens, Codefast President and CEO, “But more importantly, this award clearly demonstrates that there is awareness among IT leaders of the seriousness of the problems in software production and the need for better solutions.".
