Static Analysis — Coverity’s flagship static analysis product for C/C++, C#, and Java is the most accurate static analysis in the industry. It quickly and effectively pinpoints hard-to-find quality defects and security vulnerabilities and includes extensive support for 3rd party libraries out-of-the-box.

Dynamic Analysis — Coverity’s dynamic analysis capability for multi-threaded Java applications automatically detects existing and potential race conditions and deadlocks that can cause deadly application behavior.

Architecture Analysis — Coverity’s architectural analysis capability creates a sophisticated visualization of software systems for senior developers and application architects, including an architecture map, call graph visualization, and a dependency structure matrix (DSM).

Build Analysis — Coverity’s build analysis capability allows you to identify problems and inefficiencies in the assembly of software that are the source of costly product delays. It also ensures that all the components in your final application are up to date.

Distribution/Sales: Coverity products are sold through a direct sales force in the U.S., Europe and Japan as well as through select distributors in other countries.

History/Financing: Cash flow positive since the company’s inception, Coverity’s growth was successfully bootstrapped by product sales of code analysis products for 5 years before the company elected to accept its first-ever round of funding. In 2008, Coverity accepted $22 Million for a minority position in the company from a combination of Foundation Capital and Benchmark Capital. Coverity is using the funds to extend sales and marketing reach, and to expand its product portfolio through both acquisition and accelerated internal research and development efforts. Toward that end, in 2008 Coverity acquired its first two companies: Codefast and Solidware.
